Join Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends as they enjoy many adventures on the island of Sodor. Through simple stories, kids learn about trains and also learn life lessons such as the fact that sometimes you can benefit from the help of friends.
The great thing about Thomas is that he sometimes makes poor decisions that young children can relate to, like the time he was so interested in finding the perfect gift that he forgot to invite friends to Hiro’s party. He admits when he is wrong and corrects his “silly” behavior. The slow pacing of the stories makes viewers feel as if they are seeing a book come to life. With stunning animation and crisp colors, Thomas is a pleasure to view.
It’s also fun seeing some live action mixed in with the cartoons as an engineer introduces the episodes and takes care of Sir Topham Hat’s mother’s bird. This DVD demonstrates excellence in visual quality. It provides social, personal and educational challenges appropriate of the intended audience. KIDS FIRST!
Child Juror Comments: I loved the trains! They all look awesome, and they all had different personalities and different jobs to do. The music was catchy. Some of the kids hummed along. It was funny. The trains had faces on them just like people. Some kids liked that and others didn’t. The children commented that the characters all treated each other nicely and worked together to help solve problems. They liked seeing Hiro. [/ReviewAZON]
